Need to get better and more efficient when filling cups at the water stations. It’s more tricky than bottles and in passing is difficult to tell which are empty cups and which are full cups. Didn’t work very well.

This was my first time of doing this particular race, very well organised. Lots of encouragement from the marshals too, which made it a pleasurable experience along with lovely views of the Thames.

This isn't necessarily the course to run if you're trying to beat a PB as there are several sections where you have to slow down or even stop, and cannot overtake, either due to narrow pavement, moving around pedestrians, running along the bridge which is also narrow etc. If you aren't at the front of the pack, you will quite often have to accept running at the pace of the other runners around you.

However, in every other aspect it's a great run! Well organised, good atmosphere, lots of people cheering, even people around Putney who just happened to be there were cheering us on. The course is varied and I had a really good day.

Baggage claim at the end was the only poorly organised aspect. No rhyme or reason to the layout, and allowing anyone to walk in to look for their bags is not very secure. Otherwise a really well run event

The one thing I’d change is the communication by the organisers to the entrants. After you pay to enter you get a confirmation that you’re in…and then that’s it. It would have been helpful and reassuring to have comms from the organisers leading up to the event…to include instructions for the day (registration counters, secure bag area, directions etc etc). No communication is the only thing worse than too much.

The water stations need re-thinking. Not enough people actually holding out the cups meaning runners were stopping and blocking the way and the cup bins were too close to the water stations so there was no time to drink it.

I felt like things could be a bit better signposted, at the start and end points it was a little confusing. Especially at the start, I had to ask several people where to go, the toilet queues were very inconsistent with some people just walking in and others waiting in very long queues. Other than that really nice event, nice atmosphere and friendly people, good organisation and support on the route, thank you

no routes along the river with the very bumpy stones, can cause injury

Feedback for organisers:
It would have been good to have arrows and water stations marked on the route map.
Signs directing to registration and bag drop at the event village would have been helpful.

Could be more drink stations as they were spread out every 3 miles - defo need more on a hot day like today
